The multi-platform, annual event dedicated to honouring and celebrating the world of comedy, will be taped at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday, April 28, 2012. Last year’s inaugural event was attended by the biggest names in comedy including David Letterman, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Will Ferrell, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Louis CK, Kristen Wiig, Ty Burrell, among many other comedy elite.

“…Things are just as glamorous in Melbourne, with the 32 fully refurbished Blainey North-designed villas at Crown Towers now open. The Chairman’s Villa spans an entire floor of the complex; if that’s a little excessive, opt for one of the four opulent Presidential Villas or a Crystal Villa, each inspired by one of the world’s great cities: London, New York, Miami and Milan. Each villa is penthouse-like in size and style (private lifts, personal lobby, an army of staff) and heavy on sumptuous details.”

These Villas open to the opulent living area complete with oversized coffee table constructed from a series of individual bevelled panels with an inset metal tray.

The white leather upholstered panels of the bedhead and freestanding bedroom screens are a continuation of the panels used in the dining area and a base for this carefully constructed scheme. A custom designed round mirror is located on either side of the bed to continue the softness of this scheme into every finishing detail.

Flowing from the living area is a private dining area for 8 to dine in overlooking the city.

Designed under a classical scheme of dark glossy timber veneers, gold accents and white leather upholstered bevelled wall panels, this Villa creates a relaxing space with a modern edge to its details.

The strong accents of red throughout the scheme give a vibrancy and life to an otherwise neutral palette whilst maintaining its classical elegance.

Each Living area is equipped with a private bar with a series of decadent metal trimmed detailed panels and mirrored shelves.
